This is probably the best of Erté & my favorite. A masterpiece. The optical illusions with the black shadow of the trees, the butterflies & more... Keep looking dearest viewers & all starts moving, to be alive! Simplement génial mon Erté.
I'm in the mood for some showers. Here's 2 very different options.
Loving the hotel combined bath/shower one & also, perhaps preferring, the simple, "en plein air" more rugged one. Together they form a sort of symbiosis.
That's a good look! Loving every bits about it. The leather, the goggle, the rider chick, the BMW helmet. Those WWII beemer bikes were such aesthetic machines & I could care less if the "Nazi" used them.
Held by Guy de Rothschild at the Chateau de Ferrières on December 2nd 1971, the Bal Proust remains one of the most breathtaking parties of the 70s. Despite well into his sixties, Cecil Beaton was the official photographer for the evening.
When he shooted a 24 year-old Marisa Berenson, Beaton described her as "a sparkling butterfly on a mountain of feathers, with a red wig, a face as white as flour, eyes encircled in black & scarlet lips."
